Personal Trainer

Job Title: Professional Personal Trainer/Exercise Physiologist
Reports To: Facility Director and Supporting Management Team Members
Compensation: $28,000 Benefits and Compensation + Quarterly Bonus Opportunity

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in related field (exercise science, physical education, kinesiology) from a four-year college or university.  Accredited internship program or relevant experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Recommended: National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), American College of Sports Medicine Certification (ACSM), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
